Carcinogen (C)
These
pesticides contain ingredients determined by U.S. EPA, the International Agency for Research on Cancer
(IARC) or the State of California to be possible, suspected, likely,
probable or known causes of cancer.
The absence of
this designation does not mean a pesticide is free of
carcinogens. It may mean that its ingredients have not been
evaluated or that insufficient data are available to make a
determination. Similarly,
chemicals may have their classification changed when new data becomes
available.
